Privacy Policy

• What you send me. When you use the form on this site or email me: your name, email, phone number, your company if you have one, and what you tell me about your session or project. For senior portraits, that can include the senior's name, school and class year, whether they will be under 18 on the session date, a parent or guardian's contact details, preferred dates, the yearbook deadline, and what you tell me about the senior.
• Booking records. Signed booking forms and quotes, invoices and payment records. Payments are handled by the payment processor, so I never see or store your full card or bank account number.
• Photos and video. The work from your session or project, and the choices you make about how I may share it.
• Site statistics. Basic statistics about which pages are visited. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies, and Google Analytics adds more detail using cookies unless you opt out. They show me how the site is used, not who you are. On the game and event photo pages, Google Analytics also notes when a photo is downloaded or shared, with the game and photo number but never your name.

• To reply to you, plan and schedule your session or project, and deliver your work.
• To send quotes, invoices and receipts, and to keep the business and tax records the law requires.
• To follow the sharing choices you make under the Senior Portrait Terms or the Client Terms.

• Cody Strate Photography and The Upward Spiral Group are the same company, so what you share with either one stays within it.
• I never sell your personal information, and I do not use it to target ads.
• I never sell, license or give your photos to anyone else, which rules out stock photography, other companies' advertising and AI training sets.
• The only outside services that handle your information are the ones I use to run the business: email, this website and its forms, site statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics, and Google Analytics unless you opt out), e-signature, invoicing and payments, and online gallery hosting. They handle it only to do that work for me.
• I will share information if the law requires it.

• For anyone under 18, a parent or guardian books, fills out the forms and signs.
• When I share photos of anyone under 18, I use first names only, and I never post contact details, addresses or anything else that says where to find them. I name a senior's school only when the family says it's OK.
• This site is not meant for children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child under 13 has sent me information, email me and I will delete it.

• Galleries stay online for 90 days, and I keep session files for at least one year.
• Signed forms, quotes, invoices and payment records: as long as tax and business record rules require.
• Messages and requests: as long as they are useful for your booking. Ask, and I will delete them sooner, unless I need them for those records.

You can ask me to:

• tell you what information I have about you, and send you a copy
• correct it or delete it (I may need to keep records the law requires, such as invoices)
• take a photo off my website and social accounts, which I do within 7 days
• stop contacting you

To keep your photos out of my portfolio and social media, tell me before the session. For senior portraits, there is a box for this on the booking form. Email hello@upwardspiralgroup.com for any of these.

This site uses the cookies it needs to work. Google Analytics cookies are on by default. You can opt out in the cookie banner or under Cookie settings in the footer at any time, which stops Google Analytics and clears its cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics uses no cookies. You can also block cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may not work.

I take reasonable steps to protect your information. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so I cannot guarantee it.

If I change this policy, I will post the new version here with a new date.
